Dear Steve Madden,

2009.11.30

Steve Madden BootsI may be premature to say this, but I think I am in love with you.  Yesterday, while Kris Kringle shopping, I happened across your Blondee Dove Grey soft suede tiny wedge over the knee boots.  I have looked at these boots for a long time now.   I have admired and touched and I will even admit, I have visited them.  I never, in a million years, thought these lovelies would fit over my athletic calf.  The Angel on my left shoulder said.. go ahead.. try them.. be positive.. the Devil on my right said, no way Princess, not a chance!

It was my lucky day… these lovely boots fit.  Alas, they did not go Over The Knee, but they went to the knee with some awesome slouch on the leg.  They are the perfect suede boot with some excellent details.  Not to mention that at Century 21, I got them at a beautiful price.  Today, I wore them with Black tights, Black dress and those beautiful Dove Grey boots…

35% discount on Steve Madden till tonight!  The price drops to $85 with coupon code Cyber35!

I’m in Heaven…

And

In Love with you Steve.

Smoochies,

Fanny

Enwrap me in a Vest

2009.11.22

Puffy VestBy now, you all know that fall is my favorite season.  For these chilly fall days, my ‘uniform’ if you will is jeans, sweater/tunic, boots and a cozy vest.  Add a scarf and some nifty gloves and I am ready for anything.

I looked on some of our reliable websites and I have found some awesome vest options for all you lovely ladies out there…

Let’s start with the Gap.  I am in LOVE with the buffalo plaid vest.  I would totally rock this with an entirely black ensemble, skinny jeans, riding boots and a crew neck cashmere sweater.

Old Navy has some excellent choices for a sweet puffy vest.  Some nice lines on this vest and the colors are delightful.  Right now, they are $10.00 each and being the insane person that I am, I would pick up all three.  They would make awesome gifts, I think!

At Nordstrom, there are two that are tickling my fancy.  I adore this leather number by Kenneth Cole.  The price is a bit steep, but this can definitely be worn in three out of the four seasons!  If you are a fan of Faux Fur, this vest is made for you!  It is reversible and sassy!  I would definitely love this in my closet for nights when I want to be comfy, casual and a bit sassy!

My last lust-worthy item is Marina Rinaldi.  The lovely ladies at La Grande Dame carry Marina and I am an avid fan.  When I want to make an investment, Marina is the way to go.  Her pieces are staples and timeless.  This vest is beautiful and quilted and sweet.  I would love for it to make its way into my closet.  P.S. La Grande Dame is making wish lists for all you ladies out there who want their loved ones to know exactly what to get them!  I love making wish lists and may share mine with you all on Black Friday!!!

Happy Vesting!

Fringe Benefits

2009.10.23

Fringe BootsSo I was speaking to my fabulous sister-in-law the other day, who happens to work in fashion, and she was talking to me about fringe.  I have to say that I did and do buy into the fringe detail in some knee high boots that I got from Torrid.com.  They are a bit Pocahontas, a bit Minnetonka, but very warm and comfy, so they will stay in the closet.

As far as the other areas of fringe go, I only accept fringe on certain areas.  Bags, not so much.  Vests, if you are a cowgirl, and on quivers if you have taken up archery.  You can fringe me a scarf, fringe me a shawl, some sexy lashes and so on.  I have a particular Marina Rinaldi dress that has a fringed hem and I cannot wait to wear it.  Part flapper, part LBD, it may finally make its debut this December.

I leave you with this.. fringe at your own risk!
