It’s a Cinch

My lovelies…

Let’s talk belts.  I am such a fan of tunics and dresses and all things lady like.  Coco Chanel said that you should always take an accessory off before leaving the house.  God Bless her.  I love and adore her, but in this day and age, Rachel Zoe may have hit the nail on the head and says More is More.  Sometimes a girl needs a belt.  My lovely gal, Sally asked the question tonight of wide belts.. yay or nay?  I am a yay’er

Some options that I came across today were from Torrid.  This reminds me of the belt Carrie wore so much in the Sex and the City movie, that she named it Roger.  http://tinyurl.com/yayswlj

Lane Bryant has some beautiful belts.  This one is making me seriously consider the Rocker Chic trend…http://tinyurl.com/ycrb3h9

For the sexy cat in all of us ladies, try this one on for size from HSN…http://tinyurl.com/ycqpl6l

I am not sure if I love the shape of the belt or the hardware more on this belt from QVC…http://tinyurl.com/ydv89oq

So my loves, belt it up and be sassy. Shake those hips and accentuate those curves!!!

Looking Fabulous in the Shower…

2009.09.08

Shower-CapNaturally, there is a mop of curls on my head and girls always want what they cannot have.  I love to change my look by going to the hair dresser and having them transform me into ‘silky smooth’.  For that look, a shower cap is essential.

I have some prerequisites for my shower cap.  I am picky.  It must be large.  It must have a vinyl or plastic lining.  It should have a pretty fabric shell.  In the past, they have had a terry cloth lining, but then the outside is plastic.  Did they make me happy…I dare say not.

I had the perfect shower cap.. from Sephora.. for many years.. Those of you who know me know that is a big deal.  My shower cap made major moves with me, we went from single to dating, to engaged and it came on my honeymoon.  We moved a few times and went on some more vacations.. inside and outside of the States.  It was washed and dried and lost it’s elasticity.  I tried for a long time to salvage it.  I could not.  It was a relationship that I was saying goodbye to.  When I really knew the end was eminent, I started searching for the new one.  I tested and tried and searched all over.  You may laugh.  I take these things seriously.  My search came to an end one day while strolling through Henri Bendel.  Yes, you laugh, you scoff, but my hair is my thing!  Rachel Zoe has her designer couture, I have my hair.  Henri Bendel was my savior.  Plastic on the inside, fabric on the outside, it’s own traveling case, and a pretty sweet size to fit over the hair.
