Tonight I will explore the conundrum of boots, wide boots, wide shaft boots, tall boots and short boots. I have researched for my fellow blog lovers and have found the following answers…
In the land of the boot, I have many issues. Being that I have a large calf from years of playing ball, exercising, weight loss and gain, I have always found it difficult to buy tall shaft boots. Even at my thinnest, I was always having issues buying tall boots. I happen to have searched and found the following lovely answers to the boot conundrum:
My Favorite tall boot, that has a great Victorian look to them. They come in Wide and Wide Wide Shaft as well as a Wide Foot Bed! Ross Hommerson TURN http://tinyurl.com/nabrbl They are absolutely lovely and so comfortable. I adore them with skirts and dresses, and even leggings and tunics.
I am so in love with the brand, that I have bought different styles.
If you are looking for a mid calf boot that comes in wide footbed and shaft, here is another awesome option.. Ross Hommerson THYME http://tinyurl.com/movzdr. These mid calf boots are so beautiful. I have gotten countless compliments on them and I cannot wait to break them out this fall/winter. I wore them almost every day with a skirt and tights. There is probably nothing that you cannot pair with these boots.
Naturalizer has come a long way from making shoes for a certain type of woman. This company makes gorgeous shoes that come in wide widths. I adore their shoes and have some very cute pairs of sandals for the summer. Their tall boots, however do not close over my calves, but they are beautiful and I do admire them. There is a pair of equestrian boots that I am eyeing. I am not loving the descriptions on their website because they do not have the circumference of the shaft on the boot description. That is one of my favorite features of Zappos.com. Anyhoo, the link to the equestrian boots is http://tinyurl.com/mxp8ks.
If you have a large foot and are always looking for shoes that are beautiful and comfortable and in your size, this website is your answer, BarefootTess.com. Their motto is “Because style doesn’t stop at a size 10.” I love that motto in clothing and shoes, but this website has designer shoes for the lady with the larger pied. I really love this website for many reasons. They ship internationally and if you are an international customer, they have the exchange rate for the price on each shoe’s page. I think that is a nifty feature!
For those of us who like to buy new boots each season, Torrid.com is the website for you. Their boots are spot on with trend, and they generally have all widths in each shoe that they carry. They have a decent assortment of boots and shoes, but their boots generally last one to two seasons. I have a pair of knee high boots from them from last fall/winter that will do for me another season, but maybe not beyond that. These are the boots I have in brown faux suede from last year. http://tinyurl.com/nn7vqp They are cute, comfy and definitely wide shaft! In fact, I feel that the shaft was slouchy and that was a great feature for me.
Enjoy and Happy Shopping!
