Into some awesome transition pieces.
I have started to “turn” my closet and I see so many pieces that can take you from summer to fall easily with the right accessories. Inside it live a multitude of tunics or short sleeveless dresses. They can be paired with leggings, or thick stockings and boots. Some ladies love the high boot, some like the short slouchy boot. I am a fan of both since I have an array of fashion personalities.
I like to be comfortable and stylish when I get dressed, so if I can meld the two together, I am all set. It has all come down to finding a “uniform” for me that works. Some women love pants, some love dresses, I like to marry them.
An outfit that I recently put together was leggings, short, slouchy boots, chiffon tunic and thick sweater. I paired it with some bangles, earrings and a big slouchy bag. You can throw on a belt to cinch the waist if you don’t want to lose your beautiful waist OR you can leave it all slouchy and throw on a bunch of jewelry. Coco Chanel is my idol, but I definitely do not agree with her idea of taking one accessory off before you leave the house. Pile them on!!! Look glamorous. You only go around once so why not jazz it up!!
One other super fun outfit that I put together very quickly one day was jeans (this will work with wide leg or bootcut), a black and white print sleeveless dress (to the knees) with a black boyfriend sweater over it and a belt! This outfit was so awesome and it transitioned over all seasons. You can throw on some cute ballet flats or boots with this outfit. A great pair of earrings, awesome bangles and a huge bag and you are good to go! (You can also switch the jeans for black pants and wear it to work.)
Another trick for the Fall is to throw on a scarf and like Carrie Bradshaw, break out the gloves, for a perfect chilly day fall look!
Ladies, please make sure if you are wearing leggings, that they are thick, and the proper color. I saw an unfortunate girl the other day with white thin leggings. She was not a tiny girl and it was wrong. Just wrong.
I love the questions.. thank you for posing them and keep them coming!!
