Mazie's Method

Fall is on it’s way and I.  Really.  Cannot. Wait!!!  The heat this summer is not as fun as usual because of my delicate condition.  I long for fall and cardigans and boots and jeans.  That is my uniform from Fall to Spring.  The weight of the materials change, but always, boots, jeans and sweaters.  This year may be a bit different, but as far as I have come along while pregnant, I am trying to stick with my style.  I would like to keep my look going into the fall before and after I deliver.  I was checking out Piperlime and Nordstrom and Zappos and the fall boots are making me insane!  I love so many styles and a lot of them have flat heels which is perfect for a klutz like me who will have an infant in tow!

Mia Limited Edition Deputy booties are making me drool.  I love the neutral color that will transition with most of my closet.  I may have to invest in these for the fall.

Nine West Theophila ankle boots in a gorgeous wine color may be my super favorite.  I know I don’t normally wear heels, but these may have to be the exception to the rule.  Even if they just hang out in the closet and make an appearance once in a while, at this price, they are so worth it!

Roxy Hamlet are adorable.  I love that they have a second layer and look like they are folded over.  They would be perfect with leggings or tights and a skirt.  I cannot imagine these being any cuter in the Pearl color!

Another rainy day here in New York and it begs a blog on sweet rainwear. I am a huge fan of the rain coat. It not only keeps you dry, it helps you to look sleek while dancing around the puddles. I know I have complained about rain boots before and the search for a wide calf version. I have tried some adorable ones from Hunter that do not go all the way up, but let’s face it if you are wading in waters that deep, you should have overalls on! Here they are on Nordstrom. Here is a gorgeous pair from Hunter on Bloomingdales. I cannot decide if I need them or not…*grin*

Marina Rinaldi makes a beautiful raincoat here on La Grande Dame. I adore it. I have it in black and was lucky enough to get it on sale. I would definitely love the purple tho. It’s a beautiful Spring color and perfect for all the Spring Events from Easter to Brunches and Christenings etc.

If you never lose your umbrellas, I would suggest investing in a large check Burberry. I love this umbrella because it will keep you completely covered, you will look sleek and chic and it is on sale!
